WATCH: Police Briefing After Greenwood Shooting

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo police said officers were dispatched to the Legacy Terrace Apartments around 2:41 p.m. Sunday after reports of a shooting victim.

A 19-year-old male was transported to Shannon Medical Center by medics, according to police. His condition has not been released.

“This appears to be an isolated incident,” police stated. “There’s no urgent threat to the public.”

The shooting was first reported as a drive-by near the intersection of Greenwood and Howard streets. Dispatch audio indicated a beige or gold Chevrolet Tahoe was seen leaving the area.

Police said it is too early in the investigation to determine what led to the shooting. They have not confirmed details about the number of people involved, the suspect, or the type of vehicle connected to the case.

The police said that if the circumstances change and a public threat is identified, an update will be released.

More information is expected to come out as the investigation continues.
