Scurry County Judge Candidate Booked on Child Sex Crime Charges

SNYDER, TX — A Republican candidate for Scurry County judge was booked into the Scurry County Jail on Tuesday on charges of first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault of a child and second-degree felony indecency with a child by contact, the sheriff’s office stated.

Russell Heath Wall faces the charges, which were presented by the Texas Rangers to the 132nd District Court, according to a press release issued Thursday by Sheriff Trey Wilson.

Wall ran as a Republican against incumbent Dan Hicks in the March 3 primary for Scurry County judge.

No further information will be released because of the ongoing criminal investigation.
