SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo police said they are investigating a shooting after a SWAT team executed a search warrant Wednesday in the 3100 block of Bowie Street and did not locate a suspect.
The San Angelo Police Department said it investigated a shooting incident on Sept. 2. Out of an abundance of caution, officers used the SWAT team to carry out a search warrant connected to the investigation, according to a department statement. No suspect was found at the Bowie Street location.
Investigators believe the incident is isolated and that there is no known threat to the public, SAPD stated. The investigation remains active and ongoing. The department said no further information would be released at this time.
Police have not released details about where the shooting itself occurred, whether anyone was injured, or a description of a suspect.
