A McCulloch County man accused of murder is free today after a grand jury no billed his charges. The grand jury believed the man accused, Eric Daniel Flores, 43, of Brady acted in self defense.
The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office located and arrested Jordan Velez, at a business in San Angelo. Jordan Velez has been charged with Theft of Property $2,500<$30,000, for defrauding the customer.
A San Angelo woman was indicted in February by a Tom Green County grand jury for bringing a controlled substance into the Tom Green County Detention Facility.
Surveillance of the area resulted in the interception of a rented box-truck with a total of 70 illegal aliens trapped in the cargo area. Four unaccompanied children were encountered in this event and were transferred to the Central Processing Center.
The group of illegal aliens consisted of 104 single adults, 61 family members, and 37 unaccompanied children. The aliens were from the Caribbean and various Central and South American countries as well as Honduras, Nicaragua, Cuba, and Uzbekistan.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers working at the Tecate Port of Entry discovered more than 400 pounds of meth, cocaine and heroin concealed in toolboxes destined for the U.S.
