SAN ANGELO, TX — Angelo State University is presenting a new exhibit of historical papers and correspondence from the ASU West Texas Collection that is now open in the ASU Mayer Museum, 2501 W. Ave. N.
Titled "Don't Forget to Write: Messages from the Archive," the exhibit will be open for free public viewing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, through March 8.

The exhibit invites patrons to travel to the past through the words of those who lived it. Featuring letters written by and to West Texans, the exhibit explores a wide variety of topics, including the frontier experience, wartime correspondence, business, and politics. It includes letters and papers from these collections within the West Texas Collection:
- Tom Green County Historical Society Collection
- Houston Harte Collection
- Tweedy Family Collection
- John Harrod Collection
- Perez Family Collection
- Robert Janek Collection
- Nonie Green Collection
- John T. Williams Collection
- Jack Clark Family Collection
- Santa Fe Railroad Collection
