Lake View High School Musician Earns Top Band Honor

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - Lake View High School band member Heidi Bundick secured the first position at the Area auditions on Double Bass. 

Information from the school states that this marks her third consecutive year advancing to the All-State Band.

Heidi's accomplishment places her in the distinguished top 2.6 percent of music students in Texas.

“All-State is the highest honor a Texas music student can receive,” the school district stated. “1,830 students are selected through a process that begins with over 70,000 students from around the state vying for this honor to perform in one of 18 ensembles sponsored by the Band, Orchestra, and Vocal Divisions.”

All-state students participate in three days of rehearsals directed by nationally recognized conductors during the annual state TMEA Clinic/Convention. 

Their performances before thousands of attendees bring this extraordinary event to a close.

This year's convention will be held in San Antonio, from February 7-10.
