San Angelo Police Department Recognizes Man for Helping Lift a Truck

 

SAN ANGELO— The San Angelo Police Department has recognized an outstanding citizen who saved another man’s life.

On the San Angelo Police Department Facebook page, they have recognized Jordon Dozier for saving another man’s life after he became trapped underneath a vehicle he was working on.

The post says:

The San Angelo Police Department would like to recognize Jordan Dozier and the SAPD officers for saving the life of Jimmy Towery.

Towery was working underneath a vehicle when it slipped off the jacks and landed on his chest. His wife Shelli, immediately called 9-1-1. Dozier, along with Officer Morris, Officer Calvert, Officer Cobbs, and Officer Crowder, arrived on scene and were able to life the vehicle up and pull Mr. Towery from underneath the vehicle.

Through their commitment, determination, and quick actions of Shelli Towery, Dozier, and the officers, Jimmy Towery regained consciousness and is doing fine.

After the incident, the Towery’s and Dozier were able to reunite.

Dozier is the second citizen to jump in and help when needed along with another man helped save another individual who crashed into the Concho River.
