SAN ANGELO, TX – The Angelo State University Cheer Team is excited to announce a series of engaging and skill-enhancing youth clinics scheduled to take place in January. These clinics, catered to various age groups and skill levels, will be conducted at ASU's Ben Kelly Center for Human Performance, located at 2050 S. Johnson St.
Advance registration is mandatory for participation in each clinic and will commence in December.
College Prep Clinic - Saturday, Jan. 13
Cost: $30 per person
Check-in: 12:30 p.m.
Clinic Timing: 1-4 p.m.

Participants in this clinic will focus on mastering college-level group stunts, baskets, pyramids, tumbling, and gameday expectations. Moreover, attendees will have the opportunity to learn the ASU Fight Song. This clinic offers an ideal platform for individuals aiming to prepare for college tryouts or enhance individual skills for high school team tryouts.
Middle & High School One-on-One Sessions - Saturday, Jan. 20
Cost: $50 per person
Clinic Timing: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Session Duration: 45 minutes per person
Check-in: 15 minutes prior to scheduled session (Session times will be emailed in advance.)
Online Registration: Dec. 13 - Jan. 10 at angelo.edu/cheer-one-on-one
Participants in this session-oriented clinic will receive personalized attention to enhance skills crucial for cheer tryouts. The focus will be on jumps, spiriting, motions, crowd-leading skills, cheers, chants, or band dances essential for middle and high school tryouts. Additionally, tumbling will be covered for participants who already possess these skills before the clinic.
Spirit Day - Saturday, Jan. 27

The Spirit Day clinic offers an immersive experience, encompassing learning sessions for game-day chants, tumbling, jumps, stunting, and engaging in multiple fun stations. Moreover, participants will be provided tickets to witness the Rams and Rambelles basketball games at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. respectively. Attendees will receive a free T-shirt and will have the opportunity to perform during the halftime of these basketball games.
