Local Organizations Join Forces for Community Cleanup

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - Keep San Angelo Beautiful in partnership with Southland Baptist Church “Changed the Landscape” behind the H-E-B located at 5502 Sherwood Way. 

The cleanup was part of the annual Southland Baptist Church “Disciple Now” retreat. 

Information from Keep San Angelo Beautiful states that the cleanup was an effort to meet community needs through intentional acts of service, all while fostering a love of the environment. 

To keep things fun for the kids, an award for “Most interesting item” was on the line.

The winners were team “Hannah & Nevaeh” for a piece of found jewelry, pictured below. 

“We believe in the shared responsibility to create awareness and maintain clean, green and beautiful spaces through art, science and education in San Angelo,” information from Keep San Angelo Beautiful states. “We are keeping San Angelo beautiful so that San Angelo can do beautiful things.”

Team Hannah & Nevaeh were deemed "Most Interesting Item" winners at the trash pickup event.
