The ministry that the Potter’s Hand Chrisitan School raises money for is the Regalos De Amor (Gifts of Love) Ministry. It is a cross-connection ministry focusing on serving the Nuevo Laredo, Mexico area. Each year, the school raises money to send to the ministry, and this year will be the second time hosting the fundraiser as a school-wide Family Dance. Last year, Potter’s Hand raised $4,000 from sponsors and ticket sales. Regalos de Amor used that money to purchase air conditioners for their new school building. That building alone reaches almost 400 students in the area.

Potter’s Hand invited San Angelo LIVE! out to view their final practice on Thursday to see what the kids had in store for the public this weekend. Coupled with their own performance, the school also involved the elementary students in each practice by giving the secondary school students a chance to teach the younger generation how to do some traditional dances.

Isabella Everett is the student's Dance teacher who teaches once a week.  Mrs. Sarah Lacy and Brook Doggett are the JH & HS PE teachers who are facilitating the class, and the students have been dancing for 8 weeks now.

Students performed line dancing, polka, and others during their P.E. period to have fun, get some exercise, and enjoy the outdoors. Afterward, three of the students took time to talk with our reporter on the scene. Watch the interview with Grayson Kemp, Ava Lacy, and Lennon Applewhite below:

Space is limited but open to the public. Come out and enjoy what the students have prepared while supporting a good cause. It is sure to be a night of fun for the entire family.
