"It's Called Soccer" Meet the Cats/Lady Cats Kicked off Last Night!

SAN ANGELO - The San Angelo Central Soccer Teams were at Old Bobcat Stadium last night for "Meet the Cats and Lady Cats!"

Last year, the Boys' soccer team had a rough season as they went 1-14-5 overall and 0-10-2 in the district. Boys Head Coach Tony Vu said, "Last year was a tough season. We had a hard time putting together some complete games, but this year is looking bright, and we have a good group of underclassmen and upperclassmen, a good mix of kids on the varsity that are ready to go."

The Bobcats will open with Abilene Wylie at 7:00 p.m. at Old Bobcat Stadium on December 30, 2022.

The Lady Cats told a different story last season with an overall record of 16-4-2 and 10-0-2 in the district. Lady Cat Head Coach Benjamin Henry said, “We brought back the district championship, which was good. We were put out a little early in the playoffs, second round, so we want to do a better job at that.”

This season, The Lady Cats begin their season with the Alumni Game on December 10, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Old Bobcat Stadium.
