No. 8 Belles Break Program Record in 4x100-meter Relay

 

LUBBOCK, TX—The Angelo State Track and Field teams competed at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout at Texas Tech University over the weekend. The No. 8 Rambelles won three events, and both teams collected a total of 12 provisional marks at the Shootout.

Most notably, the Belles earned the fastest time in the 4x100-meter relay and the 4x400-meter relay. In the 4x100, the Belles, consisting of Maricia Spence, Fatoumata Kabo, Aliyah Harrison, and Zykia McDaniel, set a new program record for the second time in the year as they finished the race in 45.20. Kabo, McDaniel, Shadae Findley, and Kylie Frush then teamed up in the 4x400-meter relay to win the event with a mark of 3:39.29.

Kabo also won the 400-meter hurdles as she downed several competitors in the Division I field with a 58.48.
