New Retail Development Underway on San Angelo’s North Side

SAN ANGELO, TX — Construction is underway on a new retail development in north San Angelo.

According to the City of San Angelo’s May Building and Inspection Report, a $1 million permit was issued for a new commercial structure at 2588 Armstrong St. The foundation has already been poured at the site.

The permit lists Dollar General as the project applicant, signaling the addition of what could become the city’s 13th location for the national discount retailer.

It is not yet known whether the new store will replace an existing location or operate as an additional site. No official opening date has been announced.
