All About River Fest

SAN ANGELO, TX — River Fest is making a comeback after a seven-year hiatus, with a full day of activities scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27, along the Concho River.

The family-friendly event is free to attend, with the exception of the evening benefit concert. Festivities will run throughout the day and feature attractions for all ages, including food and craft vendors, sports tournaments, live music, and a mermaid pageant.

Schedule of Events

• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Football games at Neff’s Area

• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Shannon Kid’s Area with petting zoo and horse rides

• 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. — Food and craft vendors open

• 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. — 3-on-3 basketball tournament at the YMCA (online registration available)

• Noon to 6 p.m. — Live music under the Chadbourne Bridge

• Noon to 6 p.m. — Vega Washer Pitching Tournament

• 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. — Mermaid Pageant on Celebration Bridge

• 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. — Skateboard competition

• 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. — Flood relief benefit concert at the Bill Aylor Sr. Memorial River Stage

Flood Relief Concert

The evening concert will be headlined by Los Lonely Boys and will include performances by Los Texmaniacs, The Cristeros, Texican Legacy, Lisa Morales, 80H Project, Juke Box Baby, MC Matt Lucero, and Panchito Gomez. Gates open at 6 p.m., and tickets are $30 through Stubwire. A clear bag policy will be enforced.

Concert proceeds will benefit Concho Valley frontline organizations, distributed by the Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD), to support local flood relief efforts.
