Rogue Kitchen in Wall Announces Closure

WALL, TX — Rogue Kitchen, a Wall restaurant that recently marked its seven-year anniversary, announced Monday it is permanently closing its doors.

The restaurant, located at 8022 Loop 570, had faced financial trouble since falling behind on paying its state sales taxes, which its owner attributed to a negligent processing company.

Rogue Kitchen launched a fundraiser Aug. 29 on GoFundMe in a last-ditch attempt to try and save the restaurant.

A month later on Sept. 29, Rogue Kitchen made the closure official, while also announcing a new business venture on its Facebook page:

After seven amazing years, we've made the difficult but exciting decision to close Rogue Kitchen's doors. We want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support, laughter, and for trusting us to feed you over all these years. You made every late night, every event, and every dish worthwhile. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!

For those who generously donated to Rogue Kitchen, we want to be completely transparent. We are committed to returning your funds and will begin the process right away.

If you are looking for a return of your donation, please send us a direct message through this Facebook page so we can connect with you privately and coordinate the return.

If you are not seeking a return, your funds will be used to help close Rogue Kitchen's final chapter and provide the essential start-up funds for Rogue Pantry.
