SAN ANGELO, TX — Unseasonably warm temperatures are expected across West Central Texas today and Thursday, with highs ranging from the low 80s to around 90 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in San Angelo.
San Angelo and Abilene are forecast to reach near-record highs, with records of 91 and 90 degrees noted for the date.
Forecasters say a strong cold front will move through late Saturday, bringing sharply cooler temperatures Sunday and Monday. Highs are expected to fall into the low to mid-60s Sunday, with overnight lows dropping into the 30s Monday morning. Low-lying areas may see a light freeze or frost early Monday.
Dry conditions will continue through the period, and no rain is expected.
