Wall Volleyball’s Season Ends in State Semifinals

 

WICHITA FALLS, TX — The Wall Lady Hawks’ most successful volleyball season in program history came to an end Saturday with a three-set loss to Boyd in the Class 3A Division II state semifinals.

No. 6-ranked Wall was swept by No. 3 Boyd by a score of 25-13, 25-23, 25-17.

Wall was coming off a four-set win over No. 1 Holliday that gave the Lady Hawks their first-ever regional title.

They only dropped one set during their playoff run before their loss Saturday.

Wall ended its year with a record of 35-8.

Boyd improved to 35-9 and advances to play for the state championship next week against Clifton at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland.
