SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State football program earned 17 Lone Star Conference honors, highlighted by safety Xavier Walton being named the Defensive Back of the Year after leading the conference with six interceptions. The junior from San Antonio also recorded nine pass breakups.
Walton was one of three Rams named to the All-LSC First Team, joined by redshirt sophomore running back Cameron Dischler and graduate student Owen Seaver. Dischler paced the Rams' ground game with 449 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Seaver earned first-team honors for the second straight season, ranking among the conference leaders with 17 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks.
Three Rams were named to the All-LSC Second Team: Dalton Perry, Demetrias Charles, and Marquis Brown. Perry anchored the offensive line from the center position as the Rams rushed for more than 2,300 yards. Charles posted three interceptions and three pass breakups at cornerback. Brown added eight pass breakups and one interception from the opposite corner.
Ten Rams received LSC Honorable Mention recognition: Viliami Salakielu, Isaiah Mworia, Zeek Freeman, Hunter Wallis, Donny Bishop, Zach Burton, Nathan Morcom, Alex Bouloubasis, Eugene Liger, and Stefaan Forbes.
Hunter Wallis was also named to the LSC All-Academic Team.
