Hay Bales Cause Crash on Highway Outside Miles

 

MILES, TX — Hay bales that fell from a farmer’s truck caused a crash on US Highway 67 outside the town of Miles on Friday evening.

The crash occurred about 5:10 p.m. about two miles south of Miles, blocking the southbound lanes.

The farmer reportedly returned to render aid when he realized two hay bales were missing from his truck.

No injuries were reported from the crash, though a Chevy Trax sustained considerable front-end damage.

The Miles Volunteer Fire Department was the first to respond to the scene.
