Downtown San Angelo Lights Up with Parade, Tree Lighting and Tour of Lights This Weekend

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Concho Christmas Celebration is back with a full lineup of festive fun for families, friends, and visitors.

Everything begins on Friday, December 5, with the Tour of Lights Soft Opening, giving everyone an early chance to enjoy the glowing displays along the Concho River.

Then on Saturday, December 6, bundle up and head downtown for the Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:15 to 6 p.m., featuring live performances by the San Angelo Community Band and the Twin Mountain Tonesmen.

Right after the final note, the Lights of Christmas Parade steps off at 6 p.m., following the traditional route through downtown. The Parade will illuminate historic downtown San Angelo with 85 floats, twinkling lights, and plenty of Christmas cheer.

The Tour of Lights will stay open December 5–31, running from 6 to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 6 p.m. to midnight on weekends. Every vehicle entering the Tour of Lights receives a goodie bag with two Chick-fil-A meal cards. Plus, complete the Shopping Spree Survey Card for your chance at a $1,000 shopping spree courtesy of Sunset Mall & JCPenney, according to information provided by Downtown San Angelo.

Also, don’t miss this year’s themed nights along the Tour of Lights:

  • December 9 – Chick-fil-A Night: Enjoy 400 free sandwiches (two per vehicle) while supplies last.
  • December 15 – Grinchmas Along the Concho (6 to 8 p.m.): Meet Cindy Lou Who and the Grinch, tune in to KCSA 97.1 for Grinchy tunes, pick up colorful Grinch candy canes (while supplies last), and swing by The Bosque on the Concho for $5 hot cocoa or green matcha tea from Travelin Tom’s Coffee.
  • December 31 – Salute to Service Night: Join us in honoring the brave men and women who serve our country.
