SAN ANGELO – Progress on the Howard St. construction project in west San Angelo continues Monday with a new section of the street closed to traffic and a new detour route.
According to the City of San Angelo, the Howard Street project continues construction this week with utility and roadway work.
1) Road closure
Where: Howard Street from Glenwood Drive to Jomar Street, and Lindell Avenue to Woodlawn Drive.
When: Monday, Nov. 6, to Monday, Nov. 13. Road will reopen to traffic temporarily 6 p.m. Friday and close again Monday.
*The completion date for the project is set for spring 2024. Road will reopen to traffic during weekends and close again Monday morning at a new block. Future block closures will be announced when available.
2) Road closure
Where: Howard Street from Glenna Drive to Wilson Street. No through traffic will be permitted on Field, Chapman and Wilson streets, nor any alleys in between.
When: Monday, Nov 6, to Monday, Dec. 4.
