Ernesto Acevedo Sr, 88, of San Angelo, passed away on March 20, 2014 in San Angelo.
A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2014 in the “Memory Chapel” of Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/Knickerbocker, 1102 Knickerbocker Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Joey Foylano,pastor, officiating.
Mr. Acevedo was born November 7, 1925 in San Angelo.
Survivors include his wife, Carmel Acevedo of San Angelo, sons; Joe Frank Acevedo of LA., Richard Acevedo and Gabriel Jacques both of Ft. Worth, Ramon Acevedo of Midland,Pilar Acevedo and Ernesto Acevedo Jr. both and San Angelo; one daughter, Sylvia Garza of San Antonio. Other survivors include two brothers, Cruz Acevedo of LA. and Armando Acevedo of San Angelo and one sister Andrea Rodriguez of Abilene, TX

Wallace Shirley

Shirley Mae Wallace, 77, of San Angelo, Texas, was called home to her Father in Heaven Thursay, March 20, 2014. Shirley was born June 12, 1936, in Tarkio, Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bruce Wallace, and two daughters Barbara Marlow and Ellen Marie Wallace. Shirley was a homemaker, and had a strong love for her family. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members. She worked many jobs to help support her family, and never complained once about it. Shirley was never known to back down from a fight, and even in her final days she fought. 

Shirley is survived by her two children Russ Wallace, his wife Becky Wallace, of Paint Rock, and Sharon Richmond, of Virginia. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

Shirley was a strong, fierce, and loving woman. She was a wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma and will be truly missed by many. 

A graveside service will be held Monday the 24th, 2014,10:00 AM, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of San Angelo or Rotary House of Hope. 

The family would like to especially thank Dr. Norma Cerna of Shannon Medical Center, Alana of Hospice of San Angelo, Darla and Jill of Rotary House of Hope. The care and compassion of each of these wonderful women is beyond measure.
