Edna Ruth Gill

11/12/2021 - 09:33 , by TKing09

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother Edna Ruth Gill took her spot at the right hand of her Savior Monday, November 1, 2021, at the age of 67. Edna was not only known as mom to her three boys, but to many of her boys’ teammates and friends. Her home was always known as a place to hang out and relax before the next day’s game. One of her greatest loves was watching her boys play baseball and football. She always did her best to make every game, often going between fields to make sure she did could support all three boys. Edna was loved by all and often sacrificed her own happiness to ensure her boys were happy, healthy, and well cared for. She gave her life to Jesus in her sister’s home surrounded by family. After her boys were grown, her 10 grandchildren continually added to her joy over the years.

Edna was born on September 11, 1954, in Phoenix, AZ to Jessie Ruth and Marvin Belt. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her three boys, Joe David Berry and his wife Crystal of San Angelo, Ryan Lee Gill of Sonora, and Michael Cade Gill and his wife Jayme of Weatherford. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dean, Caitlyn, and Jayden Berry, Kelby, Hunter, Garrett, Abigail, and Conner Gill, and Jordyn and Colten Gill. Edna also had the pleasure of meeting her great-granddaughter, Payslee Berry. Edna is also survived by her beloved sister Ona and brother-in-law Mike Childers of San Antonio and brother Marvin Belt of Hitchcock.

Edna’s celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Celebration Church,  2639 Sunset Dr, San Angelo, TX, at 11:00 am.

Conal Gene Wilha

11/08/2021 - 08:38 , by TKing09

Conal Gene Wilha of San Angelo, Texas unexpectedly went to meet his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 4 while surrounded by his loving family. Conal Gene was born on February 4, 1944, in San Angelo, Texas to Charlie and Dorothy Wilha. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp and had a long career with Overhead Door. His passion was to serve the Lord, and for well over 40 years, he served as a deacon in multiple local churches, most recently at Victory Christian Center.

Conal Gene is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Jane Wilha, sons Wayne Gilley and wife Lacey, Joe Wilha and fiancé Amy Jackson, Ben Wilha, daughter Sallie Wilha Rodriguez; grandchildren Allison, Austin, Chloe, Conal, Grace, Calder, Nathaniel, and Kaitlyn; great grandchild Aspen; one brother and three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Dorothy Wilha.

Every one who knew Conal Gene knew that he was a man of great faith; the picture of patience and love, filled with God’s peace. He modeled his faith to his family and for all to see at all times. His words were uplifting – never harsh, never critical, and always filled with God’s truth. He was a rock to his family, a strength to draw on whenever in need. Conal Gene was a giver, whether it was time, money, or helping with a repair or project, he would never say no.

Conal Gene was the epitome of hard work, loyalty, and dedication. He was always busy, and always working on something. He loved the outdoors and had a passion for hunting arrow heads and rocks. It was not uncommon to find him reading the Word or praying – or watching an old western with his dog on his lap. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, his dogs, and his Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ.

Conal Gene was the most amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed more than words can say. The impression that he left on our hearts will never fade away.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Victory Christian Center in San Angelo, Texas or to your favorite Christian charity.
