SAN ANGELO, TX – Angelo State University’s Kay Bailey Hutchison Institute will host the 2025 Cybersecurity Roundup on Thursday, Oct. 16, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Houston Harte University Center at 1910 Rosemont Drive.
This year’s event, themed “Securing Texas Together: Leveraging Technologies to Strengthen Communities,” will be held in the C.J. Davidson Conference Center. The event is free and open to the public, with a continental breakfast and lunch provided.
Designed to engage participants at all knowledge levels, the Cybersecurity Roundup will feature sessions on protecting personal information, data privacy in the age of artificial intelligence, spotting and reporting deepfakes and scams, AI in everyday life, community safety initiatives, and protecting organizations from hackers.
Scheduled speakers include Joe Sanchez, executive director of the CyberTexas Foundation; Jeff Baker, chief technology officer of Socium Solutions; Russell Ezzell, manager of ASU’s Regional Security Operations Center; Chris Weaver, CTO of the San Angelo Livestock Show and Rodeo; Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Chad Raduege, president and CEO of The Raduege Group; Maj. Alan Geason, commander of the 17th Communications Squadron at Goodfellow AFB; and Jenifer McIntosh, certified information privacy professional with Stinson LLP.
Attendees will also have opportunities to meet speakers, business leaders, and sponsors, making the event a networking hub for those interested in careers in cybersecurity, AI, and related fields.
