Two Howard College San Angelo Students Named to 2025 All-Texas Academic Team

SAN ANGELO, TX — Two Howard College San Angelo students, Rodolfo Sandoval and Alondra Ramos, have been named to the 2025 All-Texas Academic Team, a prestigious recognition honoring top community college scholars across the state.

The All-Texas Academic Team, coordinated by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, recognizes students for outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and community service.

Each year, the All-Texas Academic Team honors top community college students in Texas who are nominated to the national All-USA Academic Team, according to the Texas Association of Community Colleges

Sandoval attended the recognition ceremony held at the University of Texas at San Antonio, joined by Howard College advisors Ashley Harper and Lanna Hubbard. Ramos was unable to attend the event.

Howard College officials praised both students for their dedication and excellence.

“Rodolfo and Alondra, thank you for representing Howard College and your families so well—you should be very proud,” the college stated in an announcement.

Both students were selected based on academic achievement, leadership, and community service, according to the Texas Association of Community Colleges’ description of the All-Texas Academic Team.
