SALARY: $38,444.00 annually

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Indirect Administrative Assistant works under the general supervision of a Unit Supervisor and is responsible for providing administrative support to the Indirect Supervision Department. The Administrative Assistant works at least 40 hours per week in order to accomplish the administrative and general office duties of the department.

CONCHO VALLEY COMMUNITY SUPERVISION AND CORRECTIONS DEPARTMENT
INDIRECT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists Indirect CSO in the daily operations/supervision of the Indirect
Caseload.
2. Serves as the point of contact for CSOs and probationers in receiving
Counties.
3. Responds to all correspondence (phone calls, voicemails, emails) in a timely
manner.
4. Preparation of Amendments to Court Orders and various legal documents.
5. Documents and scans all documents received in the month they are received
(mail report forms, request response forms, progress reports, acceptance
letters).
6. Documents in the case file, all contacts relevant to the probationer in
accordance with CJAD standards and departmental procedures.
7. Reviews correspondence from defendants and receiving Counties and notifies
the Indirect CSO of any violations.
8. Prepares various letters, correspondence and reports.
9. Makes calls to receiving Counties and probationers as needed.
10. Prepares various court dismissal documents.
11. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
12. Conducts self in a professional manner with colleagues, with defendants, and
with the public.
13. Complies with the TDCJ-CJAD Code of Ethics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Have acquired a high school diploma or GED.
Knowledgeable in the use of word processing software; with the ability to type at least 40
words per minute
Knowledgeable in the use of various photo copying machines and fax machines, and in
the use of multi-line phones
Be able to work independently and efficiently
Possess the skills to effectively communicate orally and in writing
Have working knowledge of the Texas Criminal Justice System

Ability to make rational, justifiable decisions
Ability to take direction and critique from supervisory and administrative personnel
Ability to follow the philosophy, policies, procedures and directives of the Concho
Valley Community Supervision and Corrections Department
Ability to multi-task and solve problems with little direction
Must be task oriented and have the ability to meet multiple deadlines for various tasks
simultaneously
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License (if employee is coming to this position from
another state, this requirement must be met no later than thirty days following date of
employment)
